Recommended frequency for maintaining skills

To ensure optimal effectiveness in an emergency, regular BLS-AED training is strongly recommended.
SafetyFirst advises:

  • A first refresher course 12 months after BLS-AED SRC certification
  • Then training every 12 to 18 months, depending on occupational risk and level of exposure
  • Possible implementation of an annual refresher programme for large teams
  • Organisation into successive sessions (morning, afternoon, end of day, breaks) to train several groups without disrupting operations

This frequency helps maintain a stable level of performance, prevent the loss of essential reflexes and maximise the quality of the chain of survival within the company.

Preparing today, protecting tomorrow.
