Target audience
Designed for professionals who need resuscitation skills (BLS) and anyone wishing to respond effectively in an emergency (cardiac arrest, stroke or unconsciousness), this training also covers the recovery position. It is also beneficial for relatives of cardiac patients. Our SRC-certified trainers are specialists who have completed dedicated BLS-AED-SRC training.
Objectives
Participants will learn how to raise the alarm, ensure their own safety, perform resuscitation techniques on manikins, and manage cardiac and neurological emergencies. The programme prepares them to use these skills in real-life situations, encourages them to get involved in first aid, and helps them join the first responder network.
Course content
The course covers personal safety, emergency assessment, AED use, and resuscitation techniques, with the aim of improving emergency management, collaboration and communication while addressing ethical and legal considerations.
Teaching methods include theoretical sessions (in person, e-learning or blended) and practical exercises, supplemented by resuscitation simulations and discussions about getting involved in first aid.
Accredited training
Under the continuing education regulations of the Swiss Society for Occupational Safety (SSST), this training counts towards 2 continuing education units (CEUs).
