Training locations
The 4-hour safety training – BLS AED Compact and Incendie Inside is available throughout Switzerland, with sessions organised directly at your company, school or institution.
SafetyFirst regularly operates in French-speaking Switzerland, German-speaking Switzerland and, depending on requirements, Italian-speaking Switzerland, adapting the training to local realities, internal procedures and the organisational constraints of each structure.
The specific format of this combined training allows it to be organised:
- directly at your business or administrative premises,
- in schools or institutions,
- in public-access buildings,
- in a safe indoor environment for the fire module.
The scenarios are adapted to your activity and internal emergency procedures (alert, evacuation and coordination).
This approach enables your teams to train effectively in their usual environment, strengthening consistency between first-aid skills and managing an incipient fire in a building.

Why combine first aid and fire training in the workplace?
In the workplace, the most critical situations give no warning: cardiac arrest or an incipient fire require an immediate, structured and coordinated response. Combining BLS AED training with indoor fire training strengthens teams’ ability to respond to the two major everyday risks.
Responding in the first few minutes: the decisive factor
In both life-threatening emergencies and fires, the first few minutes determine the outcome: raise the alarm, make the area safe and take the right action. Combined training teaches participants to prioritise actions, limit errors and intervene effectively before emergency services arrive.
A cross-functional safety culture for all employees
Training teams in both life-saving skills (chest compressions, AED use and recovery position) and fire response procedures (alarm, indoor hazards, initial fire suppression and evacuation) creates a shared safety culture that everyone can understand, regardless of their role.
4-hour safety training: time savings and maximum impact
The 4-hour combined format is ideal for companies, schools and institutions: it enables a group to be trained quickly without requiring several days away from work. The result is operational skills development, with learning focused on the essentials and on practical application.
Procedures aligned with your internal processes
The training is not limited to technical skills: it reinforces the application of internal emergency procedures (alert, coordination and individual roles) and improves the consistency of responses in real situations, particularly indoors.
Better preparation for stress and decision-making
Whether it is a fire or a life-threatening emergency, stress can prevent people from taking action. Combining the two modules trains participants to analyse quickly, make decisions, act and communicate in a structured way, for a calmer, safer and more effective response.
BLS AED Compact module: mastering essential life-saving skills
The BLS AED Compact module is an intensive, practice-oriented course designed to enable participants to acquire the fundamental skills of Basic Life Support in an optimised timeframe. The objective is simple: to recognise a critical situation, alert the emergency services immediately and respond effectively to an unconscious person or someone in cardiac arrest.
Learning focused on action and repetition
The training prioritises individual practice, using modern manikins equipped with an immediate feedback system on the quality of chest compressions. This approach makes it possible to correct techniques in real time and improve performance.
Each participant receives at least 30 minutes of practical training to embed essential response skills.
Skills developed during the BLS AED module
Participants learn to:
- ensure their personal safety and that of the casualty,
- quickly recognise a cardiac arrest,
- raise the alarm by calling 144 without delay,
- perform effective chest compressions on an adult manikin,
- provide basic ventilation,
- use an automated external defibrillator (AED) safely,
- place an unconscious casualty in the recovery position (PLS).
A compact format suited to companies and institutions
The non-SRC BLS AED Compact module is designed for organisations wishing to train their teams in essential life-saving skills through a short, operational format. It focuses on simplicity, clear protocols and the ability to act quickly before professional emergency services arrive.
Incendie Inside module: managing an incipient fire indoors
The Incendie Inside module is an immersive training course dedicated to managing an incipient fire in a building. It prepares participants to analyse a situation quickly, identify immediate hazards and respond safely in an indoor environment.
The objective is to understand fire behaviour in an enclosed space, apply internal procedures and master the initial response actions before emergency services arrive.
Understanding fire behaviour in a building
Participants learn about:
- the essential principles of combustion,
- the different fire classes,
- fire behaviour indoors (spread, heat and smoke),
- warning signs of a fire starting (smell of burning, smoke and unusual noise).
This understanding enables a rapid and structured analysis of the situation.
Applying alarm and evacuation procedures
The module focuses on:
- activating the fire alarm,
- applying internal procedures,
- making the emergency call,
- coordinating with other employees,
- deciding whether to initiate evacuation if necessary.
Participants learn to secure the area and protect people before attempting to extinguish the fire.
Using an extinguisher in a controlled situation
Practical exercises enable participants to:
- identify the appropriate extinguishing agent according to the type of fire,
- adopt a safe stance when initially tackling the fire,
- manage the intervention distance and angle,
- act under controlled stress.
The scenarios are adapted to the client’s activity to strengthen operational relevance.
Stress management and rapid decision-making
An indoor fire generates stress, reduced visibility and sensory disruption.
The training teaches participants to:
- remain calm,
- analyse priorities quickly,
- act in an organised and safe manner.
Preparing today, protecting tomorrow.
