BLS AED SRC Trauma course: resuscitation and first aid adapted to risks in the workplace
In-company or classroom training leading to certification: Vaud, Geneva, Fribourg, Neuchatel, Valais and Jura
Target audience
This course is aimed at professionals from all sectors who wish to acquire advanced skills in resuscitation and first aid, particularly in emergency contexts specific to their working environment.
Objectives
The training aims to prepare participants to effectively manage serious medical emergencies such as cardiac arrest and stroke, using practical resuscitation and defibrillation techniques. It offers 4 hours of classic BLS AED, plus a further 3 hours tailored to specific company risks.
Course content
The programme covers the following:
- Response management
- Cardiac resuscitation
- Safe handling of serious injuries, such as fractures and head injuries
- Management of specific risks such as:
- Massive bleeding
- Falls from height
- Electrocution
- Head trauma
- Back injury
This training includes the specifics of Article 36 of LTO 3, taking into account the particular risks present in the company to provide an adapted programme.
Accredited training
Under the continuing education regulations of the Swiss Society for Occupational Safety (SSST), this training counts as 2 continuing education units (CEUs).

The BLS AED SRC Trauma training course is designed to deal with life-threatening emergencies and high-risk situations in the workplace. Available in the cantons of Vaud, Geneva, Fribourg, Neuchâtel, Valais and Jura, it offers an enhanced programme including the basics of the BLS AED combined with specific preparation for severe trauma: massive bleeding, electrification, falls from height, head or back trauma.
Participants develop practical skills in cardiopulmonary resuscitation, management of major injuries and organisation of the emergency response, while incorporating good practice relating to their working environment. This module takes into account the requirements of Article 36 of the OLT 3 and delivers an official BLS AED SRC certificate, valid for 2 years.
The teaching scenarios simulate real situations encountered in the workplace, reinforcing reflexes, rapid decision-making and coordination with emergency services. This format is ideal for employees exposed to risks in the field, HSE managers or anyone responsible for ensuring safety within their team.
