Full BLS-AED-SRC course: First aid and resuscitation
Certified training for companies or in-person attendance: Vaud, Geneva, Fribourg, Neuchâtel, Valais and Jura
Target audience
Designed for professionals who need resuscitation skills (BLS) and anyone wishing to respond effectively in an emergency (cardiac arrest, stroke or unconsciousness), this course also covers the recovery position. It is also beneficial for relatives of cardiac patients. Our SRC-certified instructors are specialists who have completed dedicated BLS-AED-SRC training.
Objectives
Participants will learn how to raise the alarm, ensure their own safety, perform resuscitation techniques on manikins and manage cardiac and neurological emergencies. The programme prepares them to use these skills in real-life situations, encourages them to become involved in first aid and helps them integrate into the first-responder network.
Course content
The course covers self-protection, emergency assessment, the use of AEDs and resuscitation techniques, with the aim of improving emergency management, collaboration and communication while addressing ethical and legal aspects.
Teaching methods include theoretical sessions (in person, e-learning or blended) and practical exercises, enhanced by resuscitation simulations and discussions about involvement in first aid. This session is led by our SRC- and IAS-certified instructors, experts in first aid and prevention.
Accredited training
Under the continuing education regulations of the Swiss Society for Occupational Safety (SSST), this course counts as 2 continuing education units (CEUs).
