Target audience
Intended for professionals requiring resuscitation skills (BLS) and anyone wishing to react effectively in the event of an emergency (cardiac arrest, stroke, state of unconsciousness), this training also includes the lateral safety position (PLS). It is also of benefit to the relatives of cardiac patients. Our trainers, certified by the SRC, are specialists who have undergone dedicated training in BLS AED SRC.
Objectives
Participants will learn how to raise an alarm, ensure their own safety, practise resuscitation techniques on mannequins, and manage cardiac and cerebral emergencies. The programme prepares them to use these skills in real-life situations, encourages them to get involved in first aid and become part of the network of first responders.
Course content
The course covers self-protection, emergency assessment, the use of AEDs, and resuscitation techniques, aiming to improve emergency management, collaboration and communication, while addressing ethical and legal aspects.
Teaching methods include theoretical sessions (face-to-face, e-learning or blended) and practical exercises, enhanced by resuscitation simulations and discussions on commitment to first aid.
Accredited training
Under the continuing education regulations of the Swiss Society for Occupational Safety (SSST), this training counts as 2 continuing education units (CEUs).
